This is a massive, all-encompassing event that offers something for everyone. The 3-day event now in its fourth year is more like a festival celebrating all-things cars.

Goodwood Festival of Speed

Goodwood Estate, Chichester
4-7 July

This weekend is a beautiful celebration of motorsport and car culture with a summer garden party feel. The festival is held in the stunning parkland surrounding Goodwood House, which is so picturesque you would think it came straight out of a movie. The track, fenced off only by hay bales, allows onlookers to get closer to the action than ever before. You might want some good ear plugs as the Formula One cars screech and weave up the Hillclimb track.

Formula 1 British Grand Prix

Silverstone Circuit, Towcester
12-14 July

The biggest F1 event of the year is set to be even faster and more dramatic than ever, with the biggest names in racing competing all weekend. Entertainment has been a key focus for 2019, with an incredible line up of concerts and entertainment, with none other than Craig David headlining on the Saturday night.

Guests can enjoy the outstanding skills of The Princess of Wale’s Royal Regiment’s Parachute formation display team “The Tigers” when they (quite literally) drop in. In addition, the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team “Red Arrows” will be showing off their precision flying skills and guests can even camp over this massive weekend.

Carfest – North and South

North: Bolesworth, Cheshire, South: Laverstroke Park Farm, Hampshire
North: 26-28 July, South: 23-25 August

What a fantastic, fun-filled weekend! This event is definitely one for the family, with so much on offer for every one… Even if cars aren’t really your thing! The kids will love the vibrant car-nival, wigham stage, camel racing, arena cross stunt displays, horse show jumping, kid’s theatre and the buskstop open to all who wish to perform.

There will also be live music for all tastes and, of course, a whole lot of cars! ‘The Paddock’ has a range of impressive vehicles on display, cars in action, and exclusive interviews with dynamo drivers, while there is plenty of car manufacturers showing off their latest and greatest machines. But nothing quite beats taking a dream ride with the Sporting Bears, with every ride raising money for Children In Need.

Tatton Park Classic Motor Show

Tatton Park, Knutsford
17-18 August

This brilliant annual event hosts over 2,000 classic cars and attracts hundreds of like-minded car enthusiasts, specialists and general trade stands. The collectors Car-Mart is a favourite among attendees with some great cars on sale, as is the Passion for Power Dream Cars Pavilion which displays the finest high-performance and competition super cars (where you’ll find the PCH team).

The event’s popularity and success is why Prestige Car Hire attend every year. The team have a fantastic time showing off selected luxury vehicles available for hire, speaking with car admirers filtering through the Pavilion and explaining what makes these vehicles so special.

Classic Motor Show

National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham
8-10 November

This massive show attracts upwards of 70k car enthusiasts each year, with over 3,000 classic cars on show spanning from more than 100 years in age. The weekend hosts classic car clubs, manufacturers and dealers who are only too happy to share their knowledge and passion for the vehicles on show.

There is no shortage of cars for sale, as there are gorgeous cars and their owners there largely for bragging rights (nothing wrong with that!). Something a little bit different is the Practical Challenge, where a classic car is stored by a team in just a matter of days – an outstanding and impressive achievement.

Don’t forget to book your tickets to any or all of the above events before it’s too late! If you have any questions in relation to the cars on fleet at Prestige Car Hire, please phone the team on 03300 538 955.
